This has been on my to do list for ages-- Start a blog cataloging my quest to bring small town life to the city. There's room enough for windowsill and patio gardens, and the average person can master basic artisan arts, right? There are enough great local small family-owned gems strewn throughout the city that offer a little more heart and reward us with a more intimate connection to our consumerism.

That's what this blog is about: learning how to make our own cheeses, english beeswax candles, freshly baked bread made in your own kitchen or finding the best place to get them when city life just has us a little bit too busy.
